Team BridgeLooking to create a team work Wanting to show sum is greater than the individual parts Want to see how performance improves when the group goal becomes the focus Interested in getting everyone focusing in one direction? These and much more can be achieved with Team Bridge. A quick overviewTeam Bridge is a multi faceted team project. Initially individual teams work alone to amass points that will allow them to build their bridge. At some point of time it dawns on the teams that in fact they only have the resources and time to create one giant bridge that all of the team members have to pass over. Team Bridge ScenarioTeams are briefed individually with written briefs. The brief challenges them to build the biggest bridge possible in the allotted time span. In order to access bridge building materials (poles, ropes, twine etc) the teams must complete some team building activities. The length of the bridge gives a reward that is linked to the length (this reward increases exponentially) and so for a team to earn a decent return on investment they must cooperate as it creates more reward and requires each team to make less effort in doing the points earning activities. The grand finale is that all team members must pass over the bridge to achieve success Some of the learning areas that the activity develops include:
