This and much more can be achieved with “In search of the lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine™” A quick overviewIndoor or outdoor experiential learning activity. An interactive table based simulation game. Based around a gold mining legend. Involves small teams running a mini project. Objective is to maximise their Return on Investment. Activity takes 2 hours, the review lasts from 30 minutes to several hours. A facilitator manages the activity and reviews with the group their learning. Can be used in conferences, trainings and retreats. Gold scenarioTask: Mine as much gold in the time available. To do this they have to plan and carry out a table top expedition to the lost Dutchman’s mine. The teams can choose from different routes. The team needs to buy, barter and exchange resources. Make key choices on the risk strategy to follow. Problem solve as the environment changes. Collaborate between teams to achieve greater success.
